Schielch Animal Miniatures

Hi
I looked out the pond I bought on holiday a few years ago. I knew it would come in useful for something one day!

When I went shopping I bought a drake to go with the female duck and ducklings I bought last time.

I couldn't resist the swam family either.

I think I'm going to get some of the farm animals to make a country scene surrounding the pond, Will let you know how it develops.

The Professionals

Hi
I had this neat present for my birthday.

It reminded me that 'The Professionals' was one of my favourite programmes years ago. I looked out some bits and pieces that I have collected over the years. I thought you might like to share some of my memories.

As you can see Bodie was my favourite character.

I don't want to simply store the CI5 IDs in a drawer so I am thinking about putting them into a picture frame. I am going to look at frames tomorrow when I go shopping and will let you know what I decide.

Wizard's Tower

Hi
A few months ago I found a wizard's tower at a model fair.

I have gradually collected a few miniatures to place around it. Most of them are Dungeon and Dragon figures I found on the Internet. I tend to choose ones I like the look of and so end up with a mixture of miniatures from a variety of sets. I particularly like winged figures and am waiting for several to arrive at the moment. I will let you see them when they come.
This is a winged figure I really like called Asura.

This is a Doomdreamer casting a spell.

This is a detailed figure called Blood of Vol Cultist.

I have given him this Bluespawn as a familiar.

I have also given him this tiny Goblin Delver to follow behind him carrying his luggage.

I am now looking for a large figure for the spell casters to be calling forth and will let you know when I come across something suitable.

Schieich animal miniatures

Hi

I finally gave in yesterday and bought a set of elephants in the Schleich range.

I have resisted for a long time since I knew once I started collecting these very attractive figures I would end up with a whole selection. I think the detail on them is excellent. As I walked away the ducklings caught my eye.

I have decided to look out a village pond which I bought on holiday a couple of years ago and make a country scene.

I'll let you know how it comes along.

Latch Hook Rugs

Hi

A couple of months ago I fancied trying my hand at rug making. Latch Hook rugs seemed the way to go so I purchased a small 12 inch kit featuring a ladybird. After several attempts and internet research I finally managed to work out how to use the hook. Following the pictures sounded much more straight forward than it it really was!

After several hours I finished my first tiny rug. I felt a real sense of achievement.

Here is said rug.

Quite pretty I think you'll agree, but what on earth do you do with a twelve inch rug?

After giving the matter careful thought I came up with the idea of a patchwork rug. The next day I chose a carousel horse design kit. I checked the box to make sure it was a twelve inch one. On opening the kit I counted the same forty squares as before and set about completing the second square of my patchwork rug to be.

Here is the result.

Great! Now I could sew the two squares together. If any of you make rugs you will probably guess what I found.

They were different sizes!

I rechecked the boxes and found they only claimed to be approximately twelve inches.

Sighing, I resiegned myself to leaving them as stepping stones across my bedroom carpet.
I haven't given up yet and will let you know how my new rug is progressing next time.

Let's get started

Hi everybody; Jay here.

Thought I'd share some of my art and craft attempts with you.

Some of the stuff I dabble in at the moment includes rug making, hama beading, model making and the like. Hope you enjoy the experience.
